Jamie Turner is an Operations Director for Beaufort Education & Care Group. He has dedicated over 20 years of his professional life in supporting young adults in their journey toward independence.
Here is what Jamie has to say about his work, passion and commitment to the lives of Young People:
My commitment to this is both a personal and professional passion, driving me to empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.
Outside of my professional commitments, I am an avid football enthusiast. I find that the dynamics of teamwork in sports mirror the collaborative efforts I strive to develop in my work with my team and the young adults that we support. Just as a football team must work together to succeed, I believe that young adults benefit from collaboration and support from their peers, mentors, and external services. This passion for football also provides a fantastic opportunity for me to engage with young adults in a way that is fun and relatable, often serving as a bridge to more serious conversations about their growth and aspirations.
Beaufort Support Services work within the principles of SELF:

The team at Beaufort Support Services have worked in various capacities, providing guidance, mentorship, and practical support to young adults as they navigate the challenges of adulthood. The team take pride in being part of that growth, watching them develop essential life skills that will support them well into their futures.
There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a young adult gain confidence in their abilities and take significant steps toward achieving their goals.
Our approach is person centred, ensuring that support is tailored to each young adult’s unique strengths and interests. The environment that we create is one of trust and respect – we support young adults to acquire practical skills and develop a positive self-image that empowers them to make informed choices and prepare them for adulthood.
We work in collaboration with partner agencies to ensure that all our young adults receive wrap around support including health, financial, and community access as they navigate the next phase of life.
