About the home

The location
The Paddocks is situated in Hurn in a semi-rural location close to Bournemouth and Christchurch (10 minutes by car). There is good access to parks, schools and colleges and local shops.
How we care
Everyone plays an active role in the house – whether that’s cooking together or growing vegetables in the garden. There is a real family feel in the house and the young people and adults enjoy meals together.
Outside the house, our young people take part in lots of activities, including:
- swimming
- bowling
- singing
- going on holiday
- cinema trips.
Young people can also enjoy free membership of the local leisure centre.
Outdoor fun
The home has a large garden and many of our children grow tomatoes, lettuce, onions, new potatoes and strawberries in the vegetable plot. In the summer, we have regular BBQs and play badminton and basketball outside. There is even a hot tub!
Education
We offer educational support to children and young people in our care through our friendly team of engagement workers. We provide tailored learning packages that combine school with home learning and activities.
