Beaufort Education and Care held their inaugural ‘Awards Ceremony’ on 29th January 2025.
This event was meticulously planned to make it an extra special day to thank and recognise our team with long tenure and two additional, special awards for ‘Going above and Beyond’.
For the long service awards, there was a total of 113 years collective service across 22 recipients. ‘Going above and Beyond’ inspired 45 nominations from 21 different people in the company and we were delighted to receive so many ‘peer to peer’ recognitions.
Our long-service awards recognised members of the team with two, five and ten years’ service. Each person, plus our special award winners, each received a generous monetary gift, a certificate including a special word of praise from their line manager and a reusable, branded drinks bottle.
Our special awards were presented to two Team Leaders, Aoiffe and Sarah, for going above and beyond in their duties within the children’s homes. These worthy recipients have proven to be exemplary members of the team and fantastic role models for our children, new starters and other team members, whilst being a reliable ‘rock’ of support to their management team.
At Beaufort Care Group, we specialise in providing residential services for children that may have experienced emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) as a result of their lived trauma and abuse. This means that the work we do is not always easy. We expect some days to have their challenges and at times, this can feel overwhelming for the teams. Aoiffe and Sarah, our worthy recipients, have both triumphed through some difficult periods and are continuing to do great work with a smile on their faces, inspiring all who work with them. We truly thank and congratulate them both.
The awards were followed by a delicious buffet lunch and an opportunity for networking. The vibe was one of being with friends, re-acquainting with old colleagues and meeting new people. It was lovely to witness all the positive energy in the room!
This celebration is hoped to be the first of many, becoming an annual fixture in the Beaufort calendar. Our heartfelt thanks go once again to everyone who attended and especially to our organisers, Alex Watermeyer and Ed Dubberley at Head Office, for pulling together the planning and catering, ensuring the event went without a hitch.
