Many of our young people have experienced trauma during their lives. We understand that these experiences have often affected their self-esteem, behaviour and ability to form relationships.
With the help of our caring and supportive team, young people can start to rebuild their lives and overcome these challenges. We are ambitious for the children in our care, helping them to grow and reach their full potential.

Every young person in our care is treated as an individual. We nurture their talents and strengths as they develop over time – celebrating their successes and achievements every step along the way.
We form strong bonds with the children – sharing everyday activities like cooking and eating together, playing games and watching movies. When you pop into one of our homes, you’ll see that fun and laughter are a very important part of daily life! But we’re also there for the challenging times and never give up on a young person.
From small beginnings…
Beaufort Care Group was founded by our director, Jenny Kendall. Jenny is a qualified social worker with over 30 years experience of working with young people.
It was while Jenny was working at the Children’s Society Home in Bournemouth when the organisation announced that they were selling. Jenny pulled together the resources necessary to buy the home and, in 2003, formed Beaufort Care Group.
Today, the group has six residential homes in Dorset and supported living accommodation for older children.

We have high expectations of our team and provide ongoing training and support to ensure that everyone can deliver their best. We believe that a happy team means happy children.
